Last Friday, we celebrated Dr. Suess‘ birthday in my classroom.
His birthday is March 2nd, and since it was on a Saturday this year we decided to have our Fun Friday afternoon turn into a Fun-Filled Friday!
My entire room is decorated with Dr. Seuss. I just love everything about his books and pass that love on to most of the students that I am blessed to teach. Dr. Seuss has been a love of mine since I learned to read. I remember reading them so much that they would be memorized word for word in my head. But that did not stop me, I kept on reading.
I Love Dr. Seuss!!
We did it all on Friday.
From reading a gazillion Dr. Seuss stories (at least it felt like it) to making Oobleck.
We had a wild and crazy day.
Complete with yours truly,
Mhmm. . . . I am that crazy teacher that dresses up for fun days. You should see me on Wacky Tacky day. I even dressed up as Purplicious once upon a time. It’s fun! The kids absolutely love it. As I walked out to pick them up that morning, they all started laughing their heads off and cheering for me in front of the entire school. It was a lot of fun!
I hope you enjoy sharing in our day a bit. We sure enjoyed it,
Word Family Dr. Seuss Hats
Oobleck!
It is SO MUCH FUN!!
One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish - Jell-O Cups!
All of the Dr. Seuss books we have been going through. No, we did not read them all on Friday!
“Dr. Seuss Stew” – All of my leftover 100th day of school snacks. You would’ve thought it was chocolate cake with how “delicious” they deemed it to be. They thought it was the coolest thing simply because I called it “Dr. Seuss Stew”. Thank you, Pinterest!
I definitely think that I influence them too much. My loves = their loves!
I love my students. They were crazy that day, yes. But we have so much fun together. Any excitement that they had transfered to me, my energy was on a high all day that day. Thank God for a job that I love! Thank God for fun days!

Yep, cried at that too~such a softie!!! Thanks for sharing, your thoughts are so vivid and your love of teaching, well, that is OBVIOUS!
